Secondary Education
“Character building is the most important work ever entrusted to human beings; and never before was its diligent study so important as now. Never was any previous generation called to meet issues so momentous; never before were young men and young women confronted by perils so great as confront them today.”*
The secondary education segment of the Office of Education in the Southern Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists serves over 12 day and boarding academies and over 25 junior academies across Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North and South Carolina, and Tennessee. When invited, secondary education staff also consults with several self-supporting academies across these eight states.
Secondary education staff serves as a registrar for the junior academies, ensuring accurate grade records are maintained. In addition, secondary education staff oversees school evaluations and accreditations for all the pre-kindergarten through grade 12 schools.
